Malsam opened the NSIC Championships with a fourth place finish in the pole vault, clearing 4.60m. He tallied two all-conference performances on day two, led off by a third place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.40. The senior went on to place second in the heptathlon scoring a national provisional mark of 5,295 points. Malsam mark also bested the previous NSIC Indoor record.
