Jack Schmidt a junior, from Forest Lake, Minnesota, led the Northern State offense hitting .579 in their 5-1 week versus Minnesota Crookston and Winona State. Schmidt slugged 1.211 with four homeruns, including three in the Sunday doubleheader against the Warriors. The Wolf went 11-of-19 at the plate with 11 hits, eight runs scored, and 12 RBI, while also adding four walks, for a .652 on base percentage. The junior tallied three multiple hit games going 3-for-4 each time, was perfect on defense with 19 putouts and no errors in right field and boosted his season average by 36 points. Schmidt is now second on the team in average.
