Northern State tennis athlete Kelsey Lonning had a successful week on the court, going 4-2 overall with some big wins. She took a 7-5, 6-2 decision in the #1 spot against UM, Morris in the Wolves' home opener on Wednesday. Paired with teammate DesLauriers, Lonning battled back from a 5-6 deficit to take an 8-6 win in doubles action on the day, the first win of the season for the pair.
Lonning also went 2-0 against Morningside College on Saturday with wins in both singles and doubles competition. She posted a familiar 7-5, 6-2 win in singles and helped secure an 8-4 win in her doubles match. She fell to a very competitive South Dakota team later in the day.
