Biography

Prep: Ava Hanson is a 5-foot-10 guard out of Roncalli High School. She is a 3-year starter and 2-year team captain for the Cavaliers under the direction of head coach Derek Larson. Hanson averaged 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game a season ago. She is a 2-time all-conference selection and 2024 all-state honorable mention team member. In addition, Hanson holds the RHS school record for most 3-point baskets in a game. Roncalli won the South Dakota State Championship in 2021. She is the daughter of Angie and Ryan Hanson.
