Pre-NSU: John Poldberg is a 6-foot-1, left handed pitchers out of Thomas Jefferson High School and Southwestern Iowa Community College. As a prep, Poldberg was a 2-year starter on the mound for the Yellow Jackets with a combined record of 7-10 with a 2.53 ERA. He was a member of the All-City team in 2015 and 2016. He graduated from Southwestern Iowa Community College in the spring of 2018. Appeared in ten games and started nine on the mound throwing 35.2 innings with a 8.33 ERA with 17 walks and 16 strikeouts.
