Prep: Iwan is a 5-foot-11, 185-pound, linebacker out of Scotland High School. He is a 3-year starter and senior team captain for the Highlanders under head coach Ryan Robb. In his four year career, Iwan recorded 162.5 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, 10 fumble recoveries, nine forced fumbles, five interceptions, and five sacks. He was named Great Plains All-Conference, Class 9A All-State, the Mitchell Daily Republic Athlete of the Week, and the Argus Leader USA Today Player of the Week. In 2015, the Highlanders went 9-2 and earned the Southeastern South Dakota Conference Championship. Iwan is also a state place winner in wrestling, state qualifier in golf, and a member of the Scotland HS mentoring program. In 2015 he earned the Brandon Burlsworth Character Award and was the 2015 homecoming king. He is the son of Kevin and Brenda Iwan.
