Prep: Shanks was named to the All-Big Sioux Conference squads as both a junior and a senior and earned EPJHS’s Most Improved award during his sophomore season. He also recorded 42 tackles in 2010 en-route to his second All-Conference selection. Shanks has also earned three letters in both basketball and track and field with his senior campaigns left to complete. Off the field, Shanks has been on the “A” honor roll throughout his high school career and is actively involved with his church youth group. He also serves as a coach for the first and second grade Little Huskies basketball program.
