2017: Started all 11 games for the Wolves… Tallied 29 tackles, 22 solo and seven assisted… Recorded four interceptions for 76 yards and four pass breakups… Recorded one sack on the year…

2016: Appeared in all 11 games for the Wolves… Tallied 13 tackles, including 12 solo and one assisted… Added two pass breakups…

2015: Appeared in ten games for the Wolves… Recorded one 14 yard punt return… Tallied six tackles, three unassisted and three assisted… Added 0.5 tackles for a loss, two break-ups, two pass deflections, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, and one blocked kick… 

2014: Appeared in one game for Northern… 

2013: Redshirt season

Pre NSU: Sumption is coming off a senior season in which he set single-season school records for rushing yards (1,624) and touchdowns (27 rushing, 3 receiving, 2 passing) for the Frederick HS Titans.  A 2-year starter on the gridiron, Sumption helped lead the Titans to a 17-4 record over the past two seasons under head coach Marty Morlock.  He was named to the Aberdeen News All-Area team and picked up All-Lake Area Conference Offensive MVP and Honorable Mention All-State honors as a senior as the 8-2 Titans reached the second round of the state playoffs.  He was also an All-Area, All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-State pick as a junior, a season in which the Titans went 9-2 and reached the state semifinals.  Sumption is a four-time All-Conference pick in basketball and has participated in the state track and field meet each of the past four seasons, as well.
