Biography

Prep: Layne Johnson is a 5-foot-11, 205-pound running back out of Farmington High School. He was a 2-year starter for the Tigers under the direction of head coaches Jon Pieper and Rick Sutton. Johnson tallied 930 yards rushing in his final two seasons, including 585 as a senior. He averaged 5.9 yards per carry with six touchdowns in the fall of 2024. Johnson earned 6A South Suburban All-Conference as a senior. He is the son of Charlene and Northern State football alumn Matt Johnson.
