Biography

Prep: Jake Merchlewitz is a 5-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker out of East Ridge High School. He was a 2-year starter for the Raptors under the direction of head coach Dan Fritze. Merchlewitz tallied 106 career tackles, including 86 his senior year. He was named to the Suburban East All-Conference team. In the fall of 2023, ERHS won the section championship and advanced to the quarterfinal round of the state tournament. He is the son of Jim and Mindy Merchlewitz and brother of current Wolves baseball student-athlete Joe Merchlewitz.
