Biography

2014: Started all 11 games for the Wolves… Led the team with 81 tackles (36 solo), with a season high 15 versus Bemidji State… Intercepted one pass for a two yard return… Led the team with 3.5 sacks for a total loss of 28 yards… Recorded a team leading 6.5 tackles for a loss… 

2013: Started in all 11 games … recorded a team-high five tackles-for-loss on the season … had 35 total tackles … had eight total tackles in Northern’s triple overtime win over Wayne State (9/7)

2012: Played in 10 games on the year... Had 35 tackles for the Wolves... Rushed for 29 yards versus Minnesota-Duluth... Recorded 2 sacks on the year... Intercepted 1 pass for 15 yards against MSUM...

2011: Redshirt Season.

Prep: Olson joins the Northern State football squad after becoming a four-year letterwinner at Wishek High School under the direction of Jason Klusmann. He was named to the All-Conference and All-Region teams four times, from 2007-2010. In 2009 and 2010 Olson was named to the First Team All-State as an offensive lineman. He was also a 2010 team captain. While at Wishek High School, Olson earned four letters in wrestling and placed in multiple state meets including winning the state championship match at 215 pounds in 2010. Olson is a three-year letterwinner in track and field and holds the school record for shot put at 50 feet, ten inches. Olson has also won numerous academic honors.
