2015: Appeared in ten games, making three starts on the year… Record 20 tackles, 11 unassisted and nine assisted… tallied 3.0 tackles for a total loss of 22 yards… Notched 2.0 sacks for a total loss of 20 yards…

2014: Appeared in 11 games for the Wolves… Recorded 20 tackles, with 13 solo stops… Tallied 1.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for a loss… Recovered one fumble versus Minot State…

2012: Redshirt season

Prep: Wangerin is a 2-time All-ESD selection for the Mitchell HS Kernels. He was also a first team All-State pick on the offensive line during his senior season. Wangerin amassed 69 tackles and nine sacks over his last two seasons with the Kernels, helping lead his team to an 8-3 record in 2011. He was also a provisional state qualifier in the discus throw for the track and field squad. Off the field, Wangerin has helped with several youth football programs, including the Chad Greenway football camp.
