Prep: CJ Gainey is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound safety out of Huron High School. He was a 3-year starter and team captain for the Tigers under the direction of head coach Dru Strand. As a senior, Gainey tallied 74 tackles, including 49 solo stops, as well as three interceptions and one defensive touchdown. He was a 2023 all-state and all-conference selection. He is the son of Carson Gainey and Ali Hein.
