Prep: Cashton LaPlante is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound linebacker out of Hutto High School. He was a 2-year starter and senior team captain for the Hippos under the direction of head coach William Compton. As a senior, LaPlante recorded 93 tackles, 12.0 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, and one blocked punt. He was honored on the all-district first team, academic all-district team, and academic all-state honorable mention team. He is the son of Brad and Christie LaPlante and brother of current Wolves football student-athletes Carson LaPlante. Christie is also a Northern State alumna.
