Prep: Brodey Sauerwein is a 6-foot-5 tight end out of Warner High School. He was a 2-year starter and team captain for the Monarchs under the direction of head coach Kerwin Hoellein. Sauerwein recorded 372 yards receiving with five touchdowns and 54 tackles, including 11.0 sacks, as a senior. Warner won the South Dakota State Championship, going 12-0 in 2023. Sauerwein earned all-conference, all-state, and academic all-state honors in his final season. He is the son of Corey and Jen Sauerwein. His grandfather Ray Sauerwein is a Northern State football alum, as well as a pair of uncles (Chad Hauger and Chad Thue).
