Prep: Johnson is a 6-foot-4, 270-pound offensive lineman out of Tri-Valley High School. He is a 3-year starter and senior team captain for the Mustangs under head coach Steve Bazata. The Tri-Valley Mustangs are the 2015 South Dakota State Runners-up. Johnson is a 2-time All-Conference pick, 2015 All-State honoree, and 2015 Argus Leader Elite 45 Honorable Mention Team member. He also participates in wrestling and track and field. Johnson is a state place winner in the discus and shot put and is the student council Vice President. He is the son of Talis and Laura Johnson.
