Prep: Bennett Shabazz is a 5-foot-9, 180-pound wide receiver out of Groton High School. He was a 3-year starter and 2-year team captain for the Tigers under head coach Shaun Wanner. Playing on both sides of the ball, Shabazz recorded 223 tackles, 18 interceptions, 2,500 yards rushing, and 1,500 yards passing. He was a 3-time All-Conference selection as the Tigers went 18-6 in his final three seasons. Shabazz is also a member of the basketball, track and field, and baseball teams at Groton. He is the son of Cheri and Zelos Johnson.
