2016: Redshirt season…

Prep: Schmidt is a 6-foot-2, 300-pound offensive lineman out of White Bear Lake High School. He is a 2-year starter and senior team captain for the Bears under head coach Ryan Bartlett. Schmidt played two seasons for White Bear Lake High School. He is a 2015 East Metro District All-Conference selection and was voted team captain by his peers. Schmidt is also the cousin of current Wolves baseball outfielder Jack Schmidt. He is the son of Joe and Cheryl Schmidt.
