Prep: A two-sport stand-out at Fairmont High School, Schultz helped lead the Cardinals to a 12-2 record and a berth in the state championship game in his senior campaign.  Schultz recorded 58 catches for 877 yards and eight touchdowns and returned a kick-off for a ninth TD in that campaign.  For his efforts, he was named to the Associated Press Honorable Mention All-State team and was the All-Area Co-Player of the Year.  Schultz was also voted as the team MVP in addition to a pair of All-Area and All-South Central Conference honors.  In his career, Schultz hauled in 139 catches for 2,036 yards and 21 touchdowns for the Cardinals under head coach Mat Mahoney.  On the track, Schultz helped lead the Cardinals to three straight conference titles and the 2011 state championship.  He placed fifth at the state meet in the 400 meters and was a member of the fourth place 4x400-meter and sixth place 4-x200-meter relay squads.  Schultz was also a member of the honor roll and served as a team captain.
