2026: Led the Wolves with 57.2 innings pitched across 14 appearances and 11 starts during the 2026… Tallied the most wins on the team with a 3-6 record while striking out a team-high 42 batters… Allowed 90 hits and finished with an 8.74 ERA… Added a .938 fielding percentage with six putouts, nine assists, and one error… Earned NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors…

2025: Appeared in 14 games with 11 starts on the mound for the Wolves, posting a 4-5 record and 6.25 ERA… Tossed team-highs of 63.1 innings, 47 strikeouts, two complete games, and two shutouts… Recorded a .875 fielding percentage with five putouts and nine assists… Earned Army National Guard Athlete of the Week…

Pre-NSU: Carson Zimmel is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound pitcher out of Moorhead High School and Bismarck State College. As a prep, Zimmel was a 2-year starter and team captain for the MHS Spuds. He played two seasons at BSC earning all-conference accolades in 2024. He is the son of Curt and Amy Zimmel.
