Pre-NSU: Jonny Dahl is a 6-foot-4 guard out of Keokuk High School and Stephen F Austin State University. As a prep, Dahl was a 3-year starter and 2-year team captain for the Vhiefs under head coach Jeff Dahl. As a senior, he average 18.3 points, 6.4 assists, 3.0 steals, and 8.0 rebounds per game. He was a 2-tim Hancock County Tournament MVP, Subway Shootout MVP, Conference MVP, 3-time All-Area Team Member, and All-State member his senior season. Dahl is also the all-time leading scorer (1,341) and assist leader (513) and Keokuk HS. He also ranks 16th in Iowa all-time assists. Dahl played one season with Stephen F. Austin and was a member of the regular season and tournament conference championship teams, as well as an NCAA Tournament appearance. He is the son of Jeff and Donna Dahl, and cousin of NSU teammate Cole Dahl.
