Pre-NSU: Rylan Shimer is a 6-foot-4, right handed pitcher out of Taylorsville High School and Dawson Community College. As a prep for the Taylorsville Warriors, Shimer was a 2-year letter winner and starter. He notched a 2-1 record with a 2.33 ERA and three saves in his senior season, while also being named All-Region Honorable Mention. At Dawson, he tallied 109.1 innings of work in two seasons with an 11-4 record and 106 strikeouts. Shimer posted a 2.09 ERA a season ago with seven wins on the year. He is a 2-time MonDak All-Conference honoree, the 2016 MonDak Most Valuable Pitcher, All-Region 13 honoree, and Division 2 North Plains All-District. He is the son of Kimberly LeBaron.
