Pre-NSU:  Attended Central High School, where he was a three sport athlete, competing in football, track, and wrestling...lettered six years in wrestling and was a two-time All-Conference athlete...was a State place-winner for two consecutive years and earned KDUZ All-Area Wrestling Team honors, as well as KNUJ Player of the Week...was 119-65 on his career and 40-1 his senior season of wrestling....also lettered two years in football and one year in track.
