Biography

Previously: Chavez is a 2009 graduate of Mingus Union High School in Cottonwood, Ariz. before attending South Mountain Community College for the 2009 and 2010 seasons.  The 6-foot-1 middle blocker was named to the Second Team All-Region squad as a junior in high school and earned the most improved player award as a freshman at SMCC.
