MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – Northern State baseball opened their season with a doubleheader against St. Cloud State in U.S. Bank Stadium. The Wolves took an early lead in both games while the Huskies piled on the scoring later.

GAME ONE: NSU 3, SCSU 11
- Both teams' bats started off hot as the Huskies and the Wolves put points on the board in the opening inning
- A Drew Benson triple brought home Dillon Castellanos and Mateo Tahsini to give Northern the 2-1 lead
- Collin Lott's RBI added to the score as Drew Benson touched the plate
- The top of the fourth inning and on it was all Huskies, scoring 10 unanswered runs to pull away from the Wolves

- Northern got on the board first with a second inning score from Mateo Tahsini, batted in from a sacrifice fly by Collin Lott
- Quickly responding, the top of the third began an 11-point scoring streak for St. Cloud
- The Huskies scored four runs in the fourth and four runs in the seventh en route to their run rule victory
- The Wolves had three hits and left seven runners on base
