WOLVES DROP FIRST TWO GAMES TO HUSKIES

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – Northern State baseball opened their season with a doubleheader against St. Cloud State in U.S. Bank Stadium. The Wolves took an early lead in both games while the Huskies piled on the scoring later.

GAME ONE: NSU 3, SCSU 11
  • Both teams' bats started off hot as the Huskies and the Wolves put points on the board in the opening inning
  • A Drew Benson triple brought home Dillon Castellanos and Mateo Tahsini to give Northern the 2-1 lead
  • Collin Lott's RBI added to the score as Drew Benson touched the plate
  • The top of the fourth inning and on it was all Huskies, scoring 10 unanswered runs to pull away from the Wolves
