NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • The Wolves are 16-12 (11-11 NSIC) and have gotten hot at the right time of the season, winning four of their last five games, one of which being a dominant 61-41 victory over the Dragons on Feb. 7
  • As a team, Northern State averages 65.1 points, 37 rebounds, 11.9 assists, six steals, 2.3 blocks and 14.9 turnovers a game
  • This season, the Wolves have shot 42.8% from the field, 31.2% from the 3-point line and 69.2% from the free-throw line
  • Izzy Moore posted a 37-point game in NSU's win over Minot State on Saturday, earning conference player of the week honors for the fourth time this season and the second week in a row
  • Through 28 games, Moore has averaged 19.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals, leading the team in all categories
  • The senior has been one of NSU's top shooters as well, making 48.8% of her shots from the floor (third highest on the team), 41.3% of her shots from deep (highest on the team) and 76% from the charity stripe (fourth highest on the team)
  • Both Megan Counts and Taylor Tool have been relied upon offensively, with both averaging 8.2 points per game
  • Redshirt freshman Lily Klein has stepped up big in her last four games, boasting two games with 13 rebounds (6.4 average this season)
  • Off the bench, Reagan Rus has looked to be one of NSU's key players, averaging 7.8 points and three rebounds while shooting 41.6% from the floor this season

MINNESOTA STATE MOORHEAD STORYLINES
  • The Dragons hold a 13-13 (10-12 NSIC) record this season, earning wins in three of their last four games
  • MSUM averages 68.3 points, 39.2 rebounds, 11.5 assists, 8.3 steals, two blocks and 14.4 turnovers a game
  • As a team, Minnesota State Moorhead is shooting 39.9% from the field, 27.1% from long range and 70.5% from the charity stripe
  • This season, the Dragons boast four athletes averaging over ten points a game in Terryn Johnson (12.3 ppg), Abby John (11.3 ppg), Ashton Safranski (10.7 ppg) and Abby Berge (10.1 ppg)
  • Though John hasn't seen action since Dec. 4 in MSUM's loss to Bemidji State
  • While leading the team in points, Johnson also holds the same title in the rebounds category, bringing in 7.3 a game for the Dragons and shoots 53.9% from the field
  • Safranski has shown to be one of the team's key facilitators this season, leading the Dragons with 5.1 assists a game while also leading the team in steals, securing 2.5 a game
  • Johnson (7.3 rpg), Berge (5.6 rpg) and Safranski (5.3 rpg) all average over five rebounds a night
  • The Dragons are coached by Karla Nelson, holding a 439-286 record with the program
