HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern State wasted no time lighting up the board in this game, tallying a goal in the first 45 seconds of the match
- A beautiful ball from Ella Blake to Kylie Albert helped Chloe Voss get into scoring position and rip one into the goal off the cross from Albert to put NSU on the board early
- Though winning the match 2-1, the Wolves were outshot by the Vikings' offense, tallying just five shots (four on goal) to their 19 (ten on goal)
- But Voss wasn't the only Wolf to find paydirt tonight, as Sarah Helderop slotted one in the final minutes of the first half
- Anaka Ott dribbled the ball down the southeast side of the pitch, blowing past multiple Augie defenders before finding Helderop to tally the second goal
- Voss, Helderop, Albert, Ott and Jaylee Hofer all recorded shots in the match
- In 45 minutes of action at the net, Audrey Burns looked alive, fighting off 13 shots in the first half and recording six saves
- Though the Vikings responded with a Madelyn White goal in the second half, it wasn't enough to close the deficit, slating their third NSIC loss of the year
- Grace Katter kept both Burns and Ava Nelson on their toes, recording five shots and four shots on goal while also executing the cross that helped the Vikings score in the second half
