Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University softball team fell twice on Saturday afternoon to Wayne State College. The Wolves scored five runs on 11 hits in the two contests, working from behind in each game.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Wayne State took a 4-0 lead through the top of the third, however the Wolves began to chip away in the bottom of the frame
- Avarie Eagle singled in Courtney Hennen for Northern's first run of the contest
- The Wildcats added four more runs in the fourth and fifth innings, while Eagle tallied a solo home run to left center in the fifth
- WSC tacked on their final run of the game in the sixth and Tevan Bryant homered to right in the seventh, bringing NSU within six
- The Wolves totaled three runs on seven hits, while the Wildcats tallied nine runs on 14 hits
- Abby Rux suffered the loss in the circle for NSU
- Eagle was the lone Wolf to record multi hits in the contest, going 3-for-4, with two RBI and one run scored

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 2
- The Wildcats scored early with three runs in the first and two in the second
- Madi Jones and Emma Owens rallied for NSU in the second, recording back-to-back home runs to left and the Wolves trailed 5-2
- The third and fourth innings were scoreless, while Wayne State added two runs in the fifth, one in the sixth, and two in the seventh
- Dessa Bryant started for NSU, suffering her second loss of the season, while Aune Boben entered in relief
- Jones, Owens, and Tevan Bryant led the team with extra base hits, while Dessa Bryant grabbed the Wolves final hit of the day, a single in the seventh
