Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University softball team fell to No. 8 Augustana University on Saturday in NSIC action.
Abby Rux threw a gem in game one giving up just one run on six hits, however the Wolves offense was unable to capitalize despite loading the bases in the bottom of the fourth with no outs on the board. Game two quickly got away from the Wolves as the Vikings bats came alive.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- The lone run of the contest came for the Vikings in the top of the first on a 2-out single through the left side
- Addy Hobza kicked off the Wolves fourth inning with a single to left, while Dessa Bryant and Tevan Bryant loaded the bases with a fielder's choice and single to right; a pair of strikeouts and pop-fly however got Augustana out of the jam
- Northern tallied five hits in the game led by Tevan Bryant going 2-for-3
- Hobza, Dessa Bryant, and Emma Owens each added a single
- Rux suffered the loss, despite holding Augustana to one unearned run; she added four strikeouts
