Topeka, Kan. – The Northern State University softball team opened their 5-game slate at the Washburn Invite with a 4-0 loss to Central Missouri. The Wolves struggled to find a groove against the Jennie starter, notching just one hit in the game.

- Central Missouri scored first in the bottom of the first and added one run in the fourth and two in the sixth; notching four runs on nine hits

- Tevan Bryant tallied the team's hit in the top of the fourth, a 1-out single to center
- Abby Rux suffered her first loss of 2025, giving up four earned runs, nine hits, and one walk with two strikeouts
