SDSU Last Chance Caps off 2024-25 Indoor Regular Season for Wolves Track & Field

Brookings, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams closed out the indoor regular season on Friday from the SDSU Last Chance Meet. The Wolves tallied three event victories and one school record on the day, as well as 20 top-5 finishes.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
  • Ethan Barnett tossed 15.39m in the shot put, taking seventh overall, while Justin Jacobson rounded out the top10 of the weight throw, tossing 15.80m
  • Jayden Munroe won the long jump with a 6.93m mark
  • Eli Radtke tallied a new season best in the pole vault with a 4.98m provisional mark with a third place finish, moving him into the top-20 in the nation in the event
  • Sam Tremelling and Isaac Ligon rounded out the vault crew with eighth and tenth place finishes, clearing 4.53m and 4.38m respectively
  • Jeffrey Boschee took fifth in the high jump with a 1.91m mark
  • Luke Campbell took tenth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.76
  • Matching his own school record in the event, Chris Weber took third in the 60m dash with a time of 6.77
  • Julian Scott followed with a fifth place finish in the 60m dash, crossing the finish line in 6.90
  • Three Wolves finished in the top-5 of the 600m run, led by the runner-up Carter Dingman with a time of 1:22.72
  • JW Pederson and Zach Terrio took fourth and fifth with times of 1:24.10 and 1:25.77 in the 600m
  • Lincoln Woodring added an eighth place finish in the 800m run with a time of 1:55.87
  • David VanVeen ran to a third place finish in the 1000m with a time of 2:33.58
  • Weber added a second place finish in the 200m with a time of 22.15, while Ty Kadlec, Geoffrey Mannino, and Peyton Mausbach took sixth (22.58), seventh (22.59), and ninth (22.70)
  • The 4x400m crew of Mannino, Mausbach, Drew Henriksen, and Damon Roggenbuck took third with a time of 3:24.83, while the squad of Gracen Hansen, Campbell, Terrio, and Talan Lunders placed fourth with a time of 3:29.68
  • In the 400m invitational Seth Martens and Drew Salfrank finished in third and fifth with times of 48.30 and 48.71
  • Scott won the 200m invitational event with a time of 21.81
 
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
  • Tayla Dobrenski jumped to a ninth place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.60m
  • Kamryn Schwartz added a sixth place finish in the triple jump with a 10.63m mark
  • Renea Taylor advanced to finals and took fifth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.82
  • Summer Carlson ran to a third place finish in the 600m run with a time of 1:36.41
  • Alli Jackson captured the first win for the Wolves in the 400m with a time of 58.31, followed by Kyanna Collymore in fourth with a time of 59.92
  • In the 800m run, Jordan West and Addison Cumbow took eighth and ninth with times of 2:51.53 and 3:04.58
  • Payton Kemnitz and Emaleigh Olesiak placed fourth and eighth in the 1000m with times of 3:09.08 and 3:10.93
  • The 4x400m relay team of Taylor, Anna Skachenko, Elisabet Osk Jonsdottir, and Collymore ran to a new school record time of 3:53.79 in third overall
  • In the invitational section of the 400m, Skachenko and Jonsdottir took sixth and eighth with times of 57.74 and 59.26
