Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Karson Hesser (baseball) and Ashley Fauske (softball) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend.
 
Hesser led the Wolves offense against Minot State and Wayne State. The senior hit 8-for-16 (.500) with four RBIs, two runs, and one double. He recorded an on base percentage of .500 along with a slugging percentage of .563. In addition, Hesser tallied 15 put outs along with two assist on the week. He notched two multi-hit games against the Beavers and Wildcats, including a week best 4-for-5 in game two against MISU.
 
Fauske led Northern State .667 in four wins against Bemidji State and Crookston, securing the Wolves a spot in the NSIC Tournament. She tallied ten hits, including two doubles, seven runs scored, and seven RBI. The senior notched an .800 slugging percentage and .706 on base percentage. She added five putouts, playing errorless defense. In addition, Fauske recorded multiple hits in three of the four wins, including a perfect 4-for-4 in game two against the Beavers.
