Aberdeen, S.D. – An explosive offense by the Northern State University baseball team led to two wins over Bemidji State, 19-4 and 19-9. The Wolves tallied 19 runs off of 30 hits with 15 extra base hits on the day.
Nicholas Ochoa led the way for the Wolves, going 6-for-10 with ten RBIs and two homeruns on the day.
Max Otto broke the school record with 241 career strikeouts in the game one win.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Bemidji State was the first to score on the day with two runs in the top of the first
- Northern State responded back in the bottom of the first as Nicholas Ochoa drove one over the left field fence for a solo home run; Karson Hesser tied the game up as he reached first base on an error by the second baseman that scored Brennan Phillips
- In the second inning, Ochoa doubled to left field to scored Andrew Wedwick to take the lead
- Jack Weidner drove the ball over the left center fence for a solo homerun; Nick Friedges kept the inning rolling as he knocked one over the right field fence for a solo homerun to lead by three runs
- The Beavers chipped away from the deficit in the top of the fourth with two runs off of a homerun and a triple
- Ochoa kicked off the fifth inning with a triple that scored Dylan Soulek, Wedwick, and Friedges; Phillips drove in Ochoa on a single to left field to lead by five runs
- Hesser drove the ball to center field for a double that scored Phillips; Weidner found a gap in left center for a double that scored Hesser in the bottom of the fifth
- On an error by the shortstop, Jonah Schmidt advanced to second while Weidner scored to lead by eight runs to close out the fifth inning
- Jackson Meyers grounded out to the shortstop while Wedwick scored to kick off the sixth inning; On a bases loaded hit by pitch, Ochoa scored to extend their lead to ten runs
- Phillips scored on a wild pitched followed by Hesser scoring on an error by the third basemen to in the sixth inning
- Friedges drove one to left center for a triple that scored Schmidt and Weidner; Friedges scored on a wild pitch to lead by 15 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning
