Duluth, Minn. – The Northern State University baseball team took game one against Minnesota Duluth, 10-7 but fell in game two, 11-8. The Wolves tallied 18 runs off of 26 hits on the day with
Jonah Schmidt going 4-for-9 with five RBIs and two extra base hits. NSU drops the series, 2-1 against UMD.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Minnesota Duluth was the first to score in the bottom of the first with one run
- Northern State tied the game up in the second inning as Jack Weidner scored on a wild pitch
- Michael Benevides drove one up the middle for a single that scored Jackson Meyers to take the lead in the third
- Karson Hesser followed up with a single that scored Nicholas Ochoa to lead by two
- In the fourth inning, Meyers found a gap for a double that scored Jona Schmidt to kick off the fourth inning
- On a single to left field by Dylan Soulek, Meyers scored to lead by four runs in the top of the fourth
- Schmidt drove one over the wall for a homerun that scored Weidner and Hesser in the fifth inning
- In the bottom of the sixth, the Bulldogs chipped away from the deficit with four runs
- On a sacrifice fly by Soulek, Schmidt scored in the seventh inning; Ochoa drove one down the right field line for a double that scored Nick Friedges to lead by five runs
