- Minnesota State was the first to score with two runs in the first inning
- Brent Hokeness singled to right field to score Karson Hesser in the bottom of the first
- Michael Benevides tied the game in sixth inning with a double down the right field line to score Easton Rericks
- Jordan DeMarce knocked a sacrifice fly to score Benevides to give the Wolves the lead in the bottom of the sixth
- Hokeness reached first on a fielder's choice that scored Nick Friedges to kick off the seventh inning
- A ground out to second back by Rerick scored Hesser; Benevides reached first base on an error that brought in Hokeness to put the Wolves up by four at the end of the seventh inning
- The Mavericks responded back in the top of the eighth with a run to trail by three
- DeMarce scored on a ground out by Friedges to extend the lead
- Weidner drove one to left field for a double to score Brennan Phillips to put the Wolves up by five
- Northern State recorded eight runs off of ten hits
- Max Otto notched the win in 7.0 innings pitched with four strikeouts against 29 batters
