The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Northern State University guard Josh Dilling was named to the list and will advance to the Academic All-America® ballot. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
Dilling is a business major at Northern State, holding a 3.63 grade point average. The Wisconsin native started every game for the Wolves this season averaging 18.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. He shot a team leading 52.3% from the floor and 46.1% from the 3-point line with 71 made 3-pointers. Dilling also became a career 1000-point scorer in 2023-24 with 1,281 points, 859 of which have come in a Wolves uniform. He closed out the regular season ranked fourth in field goal percentage, second in assists, fifth in assist/turnover ratio, and third in minutes played in the Northern Sun. Dilling tallied career highs in points (37 vs. MSU) and rebounds (8 vs. UMD). He garnered NSIC Player of the Week honors early in the season, as was a second team NSIC All-Conference selection.
 
First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 17, 2024. The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
