Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams kick off the 2024 outdoor season Thursday through Saturday at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invite in Myrtle Beach. Competition opens at 12 p.m. (CT) on Thursday, 8 a.m. (CT) on Friday, and 8:30 a.m. (CT) on Saturday.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The Wolves are coming off third (men) and sixth (women) place finishes at the NSIC Indoor Championships and a national championships appearance by Sam Tremelling
• The Northern Sun will release the 2024 outdoor preseason poll still this week
• Birnir Vagn Finnsson and Tremelling won NSIC Championships in the heptathlon and pole vault, while Josh Martin and Dylan Schimke were NSIC All-Conference performers
• In addition, the Wolves broke six school records during the indoor season and a pair of them on multiple occasions
