Jamestown, N.D. – The Northern State softball team swept Friday contests with wins over Valley City State and Dickinson State. The Wolves racked of 16 runs off of 22 hits in the two wins.

HOW IT HAPPENED vs VALLEY CITY STATE
- Avarie Eagle kicked off the day with a single to right field, scoring Claire Zbylut to put the Wolves ahead
- In the fourth inning NSU extended their lead after a bases loaded walk from Zbylut, scoring Alysa Lowe, a single by Eagle, scoring Zbylut and Ashley Fauske to bring the Wolves lead to 4-0
- Northern State added to their lead as Elly Smith drove one to left field for a double, scoring pinch runner, Brooke Wolf, Lexi Chase doubling to left field scoring, Smith and Emma Owens, and Eagle hitting a sac-fly to right field bringing in Chase
- Northern State recorded eight runs off of nine hits
- Two Wolves record a multi-hit game with Eagle going 2-for-3 with four RBIs
- Mckenzie Wanner added her third win of the season with 5.0 innings pitch along with six strikeouts

- NSU kicked off the game with a sacrifice bunt from Eagle scoring Fauske
- Chase kicked off the second inning with a single to left field scoring Barrientos and Madi Jones
- The Wolves added to their lead with Jone singling up the middle driving in Taylor Coleman
- Their momentum continued in the fourth inning as Zyblut singled to center to score Chase, Coleman doubled to score Eagle and Zbylut, and Jones driving one to center for a single scoring Coleman
- Taylor Coleman notched her first win of the season with 5.0 innings pitched, 14 strikeouts against 17 batters, and 1 hit
