Northern State Swimming Sits in Sixth After Day Two of CSP Invite

St. Paul, Minn. – The Northern State University swimming and diving team concluded Day Two of the CSP Invite in sixth place, earning a total score of 261. NSU registered eight top-ten finishes, highlighted by Haley Osborne's third-place finish in the 200 free.
 
WOLVES HIGHLIGHTS
  • A team of Haley Osborne, Mazie Finch, Mia Fursedonne, and Emma Moore started the finals of Day Two in the 200 free relay, finishing in fifth place with a time of 1:39.35
  • Brianna Back followed up with a tenth-place finish, hitting the wall at 4:51.99 in the 400 IM
  • In the 200 free, Osborne and Moore took third and tenth place with times of 1:54.64 and 1:59.02, respectively
  • With a time of 1:11.85, Back took 11th place, with Marie Loest finishing just behind her at 1:11.92 in the 100 breast
  • Osborne took tenth place in the 100 back, hitting the wall at 1:00.94
  • Laila Gordillo closed out the individual events for the Wolves with a tenth-place finish in the 200 fly, with a time of 2:32.79
  • NSU rounded out the day with a ninth-place finish in the 400 medley relay, with a time of 4:08.34. Relay members included Fursedonne, Back, Moore, and Osborne
  • Northern State ended the day in sixth place with a score of 261
 
UP NEXT
Northern State is back in action for the final day of the CSP Invite. The preliminary rounds are set to begin at 10 a.m. with the final rounds following after tomorrow from St. Paul Minnesota.
