Wolves Swimming Conclude Jamestown Invite in Third

Jamestown, N.D. – The Northern State University swimming and diving concluded the two day Jamestown Invite in third place with a total of 872.5 points. The Wolves recorded 18 top three finishes over the two day meet with Jacie Flockhart winning both diving competitions.
 
 
WOLVES HIGHLIGHTS
  • Northern State kicked off the invite with a third place finish in the 400 free relay, hitting the wall at 3:59.11; relay members include Annalise Olsson, Stella Bullis, Laila Gordillo, and Haley Osborne.
  • In the 100 IM, Brianna Back and Jocelyn Dirksen took second and third place with times of 1:04.26 and 1:05.41, respectively.
  • Eydie Bruestle and Hilary Sonnabend recorded times of 29.68 and 30.47 in the 50 back to take second and third place.
  • Osborne took the top spot in the 500 free, hitting the wall at 5:21.40.
  • Jacie Flockhart scored 185.30 in the one meter dive to take first place.
  • In the 50 breast and 50 free, Dirksen and Osborne recorded back-to-back third place finishes with times of 33.67 and 25.44, respectively.
  • Back kept it rolling for the Wolves with a third place finish in the 200 IM, hitting the wall at 2:22.23.
  • A team of Bruestle, Marie Loest, Dirksen, and Mazie Finch recorded a time of 2:02.29 for a third place finish in the 200 medley relay.
  • In the 400 medley relay, a team of Bruestle, Loest, Dirksen, and Back took third place, hitting the wall at 4:25.69.
  • Abbegael Nynas took second place in the 1650 free with a time of 18:50.78.
  • Osborne kept it going with a first place finish in the 200 free, hitting the wall at 1:59.07, followed by Emma Moore in third place with a time of 2:02.03.
  • Flockhart recorded her second first place finish of the invite in the one meter diving with a score of 244.00.
  • In the 100 free, Osborne took second place with a time of 55.09.
  • The Wolves closed out the invite with a second place finish in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:43.68; relay members include Mia Fursedonne, Moore, Finch, and Osborne.
  • Northern State finished third in the Jamestown Invite with a total of 872.5 points.
 
UP NEXT
Northern State is back at the pool to compete in the Concordia-St. Paul Invite. The invite is set to begin on Thursday, November 21st and will go through Saturday, November 23 from St. Paul Minnesota.
