Wolves Split the Day with Mustangs and Marauders

Aberdeen, S.D – The Northern State swim team finished the day with a win over the Marauders, 117-96, but fell short against the Mustangs, 118.50-95.50. The Wolves claimed five, first place finishes out of 12 events on the day.
 
WOLVES HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Wolves kicked on the night with a third place finish in the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:11.97; relay members included Maddie Gonzales, Brianna Back, Lilly Grebner, and Mia Fursedonne
  • In the 200 Free, Haley Osborne took the top spot, hitting the wall at 1:58.31
  • Annalise Olsson kept it rolling for the Wolves with a second place finish in the 50 free with a time of 26.21
  • Grebner claimed the top spot in the 200 IM with Gonzales following behind in third place with times of 2:12.90 and 2:22.06 respectively
  • Jacie Flockhart returned to the diving board to claim first place in the 1 meter dive, notching a score of 228.00
  • In the 100 fly, Grebner and Alexia Hoven took first and second place hitting the wall at 59.02 and 1:01.31 respectively
  • Back and Gonzales recorded back-to-back second place finishes in the 100 free and 100 back with times of 56.71 and 1:01.81
  • Osborne took the top spot in the 500 free, recording a time of 5:20.48
  • A team of Fursedonne, Tayla Liddle, Olsson, and Osborne closed out the night with a second place finish in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:44.25
 
UP NEXT
Northern State is back in action tomorrow, Saturday, January 27th to compete in the Pentathlon Meet against Southwest Minnesota State. The meet is set to begin at 2 p.m. from the Aberdeen YMCA.
