Des Moines, Iowa –
Jackson Harrison represented the Northern State University track and field team's on the opening day of the Drake Relays, competing in the 10,000m. Harrison won the event with a school record time.
The recent Clark Swisher Award winner, broke away in the final seconds of the race, crossing the finish line in 29:51.59. The time was also a national provisional mark, landing Harrison in the top-40 nationally. The previous school record of 30:43.06 was set by Jeremy VanVeen in 2007.
Northern continues competition from the Drake Relays tomorrow. Friday events for the Wolves include the 100m (Renea Taylor), 400m hurdles (Taylor), mean's 4x100m, men's 4x20m, men's sprint medley relay, and men's 4x400m. View the full Drake Relays schedule
