Tahlequah, Okla. – The Northern State University softball team struggled to find their footing Friday afternoon in Oklahoma, dropping a doubleheader at Northeastern State. The Wolves tallied just three hits on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 1
- Northeastern held the Wolves near entirely off the bases in the contest, giving up just one walk and error by the third basemen
- Northern suffered two defensive errors and have up 11 runs off 13 hits in their four defensive innings
- The RiverHawks scored two runs in the first, four in the third, and five in the fourth
- Meghan Anderson threw the first three innings for the Wolves, giving up six earned runs (eight total) on nine hits with four strikeouts
- Abby Meads entered to throw the final inning of relief, giving up two earned runs (three total) on four hits with a strikeout
- Anderson suffered the loss for the Wolves
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 2
- Northeastern jumped out to an early lead again in game two, with two runs in the bottom of the second
- They plated three a piece in the third and fourth innings and added the mercy-rule game-winner in the fifth
- Northern tallied their lone run in the top off the fifth on a single through the left side by Tevan Bryant, scoring Liv Richardson
- The Wolves scored one run on three hits with one error defensively, while the RiverHawks recorded nine runs on eight hits
- Abby Rux suffered her fourth loss of the season, giving up six earned runs (eight total) on five hits with six strikeouts and two walks
- Lexi Chase entered in relief, holding NESU to one run on three hits with a walk
- The Wolves three hits came off the bats of Richardson and Bryant; two of the three Northern State players to reach base in the contest
