Sioux Falls, S.D. – The Northern State swim team ended the weekend with 304 team points, placing sixth out of ten teams at the Augustana Invite.
Lilly Grebner paved the way with a first place finish in the 200 fly, tabbing her second NCAA 'B' cut of the weekend and 2023-24 season.
WOLVES HIGHLIGHTS
- Grebner kicked off the finals with a third place finish for the Wolves in the 100 IM with a time of 58.39
- Brianna Back followed behind in 15th hitting the wall at 1:01.77 in the 100 IM
- Up next was the 200 back where Maddie Gonzales raced to a time of 2:09.60 in 18th
- Haley Osborne kept the Wolves rolling finishing 19th overall in the 100 free with a time 53.05
- In the 200 fly, Grebner placed first and Alexia Hoven took eight with times of 2:03.06 and 2:13.32 respectively
- The Wolves 'A' relay of Mia Fursedonne, Annalise Olsson, Osborne, and Grebner took ninth place in the 400 free relay hitting the wall at 3:36.88
- Hoven ended the night for Northern State in the 1650 free finishing 16th overall with a time of 18:47.65
AUGIE INVITE HIGHLIGHTS
- Guusje Van Lent broke the 2018-19 school record of 23.91 in the 50 free set by Northern State National Champion Hannah Kastigar and recorded an NCAA 'B' cut in the event with her prelims time of 23.52
- The 200 free relay team of Van Lent, Osborne, Fursedonne, and Grebner broke the Northern State school record with a time of 1:37.50 in 11th overall
- Grebner notched two NCAA 'B' cut times in the 400 IM (4:28.43) and the 200 Fly (2:03.06)
