Aberdeen, S.D. – Through a fierce battle, Northern State and No. 10 Minnesota State tied in Friday NSIC action. Calista Kocmick scored the goal for the Wolves in the 1-1 contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• The two teams played 45 minutes of scoreless soccer to open the match
• Northern State started the attack early in the second half with Calista Kocmick scoring a goal at the 47-minute mark, giving NSU the lead
• Minnesota State responded back with the game-tying goal in the final five minutes of play
• Neither team was able to connect with the decisive score and the contest ended in a tie, the second straight for the Wolves against the Mavericks
• Alexus Townsend recorded seven saves in the contest
• The Wolves were out-shot by the Mavericks 24-10, with each team notching eight shots-on-goal
