Brookings, S.D. – The Northern State University cross country teams took on the SDSU Classic Friday evening, competing against South Dakota State, Sioux Falls, and Dordt. The Wolves tallied four top-20 finishes, including a race win from the Edgebrook Golf Course.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The Northern men recorded an average time of 27:08.49
- Jackson Harrison had a day, winning the 8k with a time of 25:01.61
- He beat runners from South Dakota State by over six seconds
- Josh Martin and Jonathan Burkhalter followed for the men, notching times of 26:17.08 and 27:17.36 in 26th and 36th place
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The Wolves tallied an average time of 20:24.71
- Mary Franssen was the top finisher for the women taking 15th with a time of 19:28.08
- Victoria Kolbinger and Jennifer Clark followed in 17th and 20th, cross the finish line in 19:31.07 and 19:35.47
- Avery Murray rounded out the top-40 with a time of 20:40.30

The Wolves travel to Minneapolis in two weeks for the annual Roy Griak Invite. Competition is set for Friday, September 23 from the Les Bolstad Course.
