OLESIAK LEADS WOLVES FROM NSIC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Wayne, Neb. – The Northern State University cross country teams raced from the NSIC Championships on Friday, running to ninth (women) and 14th (men) place finishes. The Wolves women tallied an averaged 6k time of 25:33.00, while the men averaged an 8k time of 29:00.00

Men's Team Placing: 14th (397 points)
Women's Team Placing: 9th (265 points)
 
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • True freshman Carter Faltau was the top finisher for the men, with a time of 27:46.57 in 76th overall
  • Taylor Thorson and Easton Klatt finished in the 28th minute with times of 28:07.77 and 28:45.92
  • The final point scorers for NSU were Zach Palmer and Tristian Swezey with times of 29:07.50 and 29:28.04
 
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • Emaleigh Olesiak led the way for the women with a top-15 finish, taking 14th overall with an All-Conference time of 22:35.00
  • Abby Hasart and Jolie Dugan followed in 30th and 37th with marks of 23:31.20 and 23:40.70
  • The pair of Payton Kemnitz and Madeline Nye rounded out the scoring five for NSU with times of 26:35.10 and 26:56.30
