St. Paul, Minn. – A pair of penalty kicks were the only scores of the night as Northern State and Concordia-St. Paul battled to a 1-1 draw on a rainy Friday night in St. Paul. Megan Fastenau scored her third goal of the season in the 21st minute of the game, tying the game at one.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • As a result of a Northern State handball off a Concordia-St. Paul corner kick, Katie Anderson gave the Golden Bears the early 1-0 lead with a penalty kick in the 20th minute
  • After Isabela Polanco Garcia drew a CSP foul on the very edge of the goalkeeper's box, Megan Fastenau buried a penalty kick into the left side of the net just 32 seconds after Anderson's goal to tie the game at one in the 21st minute
  • After making two saves early in the first 15 minutes of the game, Alexus Townsend made six saves throughout the second half
  • Northern State's second shot-on-goal of the game did not come until the 88th minute of the game off a corner kick; Paige Hutton placed a header towards the bottom left corner of the net, forcing CSP goalkeeper Ashlyn Waldon to make a diving save
  • Concordia-St. Paul held the advantage in shots (17-6) and shots-on-goal (9-2), holding Northern to a season low in both categories
  • Northern State held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks
