Sioux Falls, S.D. – The Northern State University cross country teams opened the 2022 season this evening from the Augustana Twilight. The Wolves women kicked off the evening with a 12th place finish, while the men took 13^th overall.
 
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• Northern tallied an average time of 21:07.91 in the 4-mile race
• Jackson Harrison ran to a seventh place finish with a time of 19:30.45
• Josh Martin was the next finisher for the Wolves, notching a time of 20:46.93 in 75^th overall
• Jonathan Burkhalter crossed the finish line if 21:21.19, landing in the top half of competitors

 
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• The Wolves recorded an average time of 20:02.27 in the 5k
• Megan Pickering was the top finisher for the women, taking 36^th with a time of 19:03.47
• Mary Franssen landed in the top-50 with a time of 19:16.58 in 47^th overall
• Victoria Kolbinger followed in 59^th, crossing the finish line in 19:27.40
