Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State grabbed the momentum early with three first half goals en route to a 4-0 victory over Wayne State in Friday's home opener. The win for the Wolves marks the seventh consecutive victory in a home opener dating back to 2015 against Spring Hill.

- Mia Zagorski scored her second goal of the season in the seventh minute of the game; Megan Fastenau collected the assist on the play for her first of the season
- Hannah Smith scored in her second consecutive game with a goal in the 31st minute, pushing Northern State's lead to 2-0 midway through the first half
- Freshman Alexis Phillips scored her first collegiate goal of her career in the 39th minute off an assist from Avery Blasdel
- NSU netted three first half goals for the second consecutive game (3 at Minnesota Crookston)
- A header from Paige Hutton off a corner kick in the 64th minute was the lone goal of the second half, Blasdel recorded her second assist of the nigh on the play
- Ten different Wolves attempted a shot during the game and seven players attempted multiple shots, this marks the second consecutive game that ten or more players have attempted a shot in a game (12 at Minnesota Crookston)
